Sharing Itunes Library Between Two Computers Using Dropbox

I´ve recently configured my Imac and Macbook to share the same Itunes library. The reason for this is that I want to access my ratings of songs, playlists, play count and so fourth on both of my computers. Until recently I´ve been using Mojo to sync my music files, but Mojo wont sync the Itunes specific information.

To solve this I use Dropbox, a file synchronization application that shares a specific folder between computers and also stores everything in the cloud.

Before you do this you should probably make sure to backup your music and Itunes library!
Here´s a quick how to:

Copy the entire Itunes folder on computer 1, containing the library file and all of the music files (since i let Itunes organize my music) to a folder synchronized by Dropbox.
Launch Itunes by pressing the alt button while clicking the Itunes app icon and select the Itunes library folder in the Dropbox.
Close Itunes on Computer 1.
Launch Itunes on computer 2 by pressing the alt button while clicking the Itunes app icon and select the Itunes library folder in the Dropbox.

Both of your computers are now using the same Itunes library and song ratings, play counts, playlists and songs added to the library will appear on both computers.

Its´s important to always only run Itunes on one computer at a time or else Dropbox will lose track of the different versions of the Itunes library and start creating a duplicate library!
